Here are pictures of some of our supported projects.
Sewing Education class at the Pangani Center in the Methare Valley slum in Kenya. From Our Village staff working with River Glen Christian Church & Mission of Hope Kenya.
From Our Village supported project: 11 year old, Colleen, was moved by the story of a boys' orphanage in Haiti who took in little girls who had nothing after the 2010 earthquake. Colleen had an idea to provide the girls with sun dresses. Her idea resulted in 140 dresses sent to Haiti orphanages.
In Nov 2010, a From Our Village team traveled to Pwoje Espwa in the south to provide disaster response & first aid to community leaders after Shelly shared the story of how Haitians wished they had more training after the earthquake. 48 young adults were trained & given supplies.
After a tornado hit a small town in Wisconsin, From Our Village linked a youth group from Waukesha with the American Red Cross. After making almost 500 sandwiches, the kids, age 7-10, signed up with the Red Cross, distributed sandwiches to everyone at the site & cleared debris.

Putting together meals for inner city folks, shelters, or orphanages & organizing food drives or meal drop off is a quick/easy one time service you can do for others. It might even expand to be a regular thing. (Families at Hephatha Church in the central city Milwaukee fellowshipping over a meal)
